At WIKA, the protection of the environment holds a particular significance, which is also reflected in the certification of the WIKA head office to ISO 14001. Thus, the requirements of ISO 14001 are fulfilled in our production facilities in Klingenberg. Comprehensive energy saving and the environmental protection that comes with this, in addition to the high quality of our products and efficient occupational health and safety protection, are equivalent goals. Here, WIKA complies with prevailing national and international environmental laws and regulations and employs the generally accepted standards of technology. Besides the Klingenberg facility, the manufacturing subsidiaries in Switzerland, China, Brazil and India meet the higher requirements of ISO 14001.
To achieve the WIKA environmental goals, each year a department-based environmental programme is created. The implementation of the resulting measures is continuously monitored. The environmental programme is refined continuously within the meaning of "continuous improvement". Fast and successful implementation can only succeed with the support of all employees. They are therefore regularly briefed on the environmental measures taken by WIKA and motivated to act environmentally responsibly in their jobs.
